I believe the title was The Princess and I believe it was a hardcover. I read it years ago, somewhere between 1968 and...not sure. It was about a woman who found out she had cancer. I'm not sure if she WAS married or got married. She was reluctant to get pregnant, but then she did and the cancer disappeared.
